Venues
A musical journey through Mirfield’s most distinctive spaces
Each venue on the Mirfield Piano Walk has been selected for its atmosphere, acoustics, and contribution to the town’s cultural fabric. Together, they form a walkable concert trail that invites audiences to experience classical piano in unexpected and inspiring settings.

St. Mary’s Church
A landmark of Gothic Revival architecture. Its soaring nave and rich acoustics make it an ideal setting for expressive solo performances. The church’s heritage and grandeur offer a powerful opening to the day’s musical journey.

Moorlands Cricket Club
Set within Mirfield Memorial Park, this historic club—founded in 1884—offers a relaxed, open-air setting with views across the green. Its community spirit and spacious grounds make it a natural gathering point for audiences to enjoy music in the summer air.

Eastthorpe Hall
A beautifully restored 17th-century country house, Eastthorpe Hall is now a wellness centre with landscaped gardens and a tranquil atmosphere. Once a celebrated day spa, it provides a serene backdrop for intimate performances—where music and mindfulness meet.

Mirfield Fire Station
An active community hub since 1965, the fire station brings a unique civic energy to the walk. With its central location and strong local ties, it offers a vibrant, informal venue that reflects the inclusive spirit of the Piano Walk.

Mirfield Masonic Lodge
Tucked away on King Street, the Masonic Lodge offers a distinctive and atmospheric setting for performance. With its historic character and intimate interior, it provides a quiet, reflective space ideal for solo piano. As one of Mirfield’s oldest civic buildings, it adds a sense of tradition and quiet dignity to the Piano Walk route.

Trinity Methodist Church
Established in 1833 and rebuilt in 1878, Trinity Church is a
cornerstone of Mirfield’s spiritual and social life. Its recently
refurbished community rooms and welcoming congregation make it
a warm and accessible venue for both performers and audiences.

Mirfield Library
The library is housed in Eastthorpe Lodge, a building with architectural and local heritage value. While not listed on the National Heritage List for England, it has served as a civic and cultural hub for decades

St. Aidan’s Catholic Church
St. Aidan’s Catholic Church is the last venue added to
the list of locations where our soloists will perform. We
thank Fr. Patrick Mungovin for hosting the Mirfield Piano
Walk on the 17th of May 2026.
