98% of the visitors that filled in our survey after the event rated the soloists, venues and the event ‘excellent’ and are hoping for another edition next year.

Mirfield Masonic Hall

Tucked away on King Street, the Masonic Hall offers a distinctive and atmospheric setting for performance. Its historic character creates a quiet, reflective space that suits solo piano beautifully. Mia Odeleye, our final finalist from Channel 4’s The Piano, performed here.

St. Mary's Church closing concert

For the closing concert, we returned to St Mary’s Church for a truly special finale featuring Aidan Mikdad.  Aidan has been a remarkable presence on the international competition stage, earning numerous honours and establishing himself as one of the most exciting pianists of his generation. The enthusiastic audience gave him a standing ovation.

We would like to thank Mirfield Town Council, Kirklees Council, Skops Arts Trust, our sponsors, the venues, the soloists, the volunteers of the venues and our own volunteer team and anyone else who contributed to the Mirfield Piano Walk 2026 for making the event unforgettable.
