About Us

The Mirfield Piano Walk is more than an event—it’s a musical journey through community and creativity, redefining how classical music is experienced in public spaces across Mirfield.

Inspired by Edam’s renowned Pianowandeling in the Netherlands, Piano Walk Mirfield brings this Dutch tradition to West Yorkshire—with an intimate, inviting, and character-rich twist.

We celebrate the diverse musical talent in Mirfield—from passionate amateurs to conservatoire students and professional pianists. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to live music, we invite you to experience classical piano in a fresh, approachable way.

The organisation was founded in June 2025 by Albert Wassenaar and is run entirely by volunteers who generously give their time and energy to make this unique cultural event possible.
