When & Where?
The inaugural Mirfield Piano Walk takes place on 17 May 2026 across multiple informal venues in town — from shops and cafés to churches and gardens. Volunteers are needed in the lead-up and on the day itself.
Manager Volunteers
The Volunteer Manager plays a central role in shaping the welcoming, community‑first spirit of the Mirfield Piano Walk. This person leads the recruitment, coordination, and support of volunteers who help deliver a seamless, joyful experience for audiences, performers, and partners across Mirfield’s streets, venues, and heritage sites.
As a key member of the organising team, the Volunteer Manager ensures that every volunteer feels valued, prepared, and confident—helping the event run smoothly while strengthening community pride and participation.
Distribution of flyers
We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help distribute flyers around Mirfield and nearby areas on 22 and/or 29 November and/or 6 December.
Venue coordinator (8x) – from 18 years
Venue Coordinators are the linchpins of our event operations, ensuring each performance space runs smoothly, safely, and on time. They lead the stewarding team, liaise with venue staff, performers and technical staff, and act as the main point of contact at their venue. This role suits confident, organised individuals who enjoy taking initiative and creating a calm, welcoming environment.
Steward (20x)
Stewards are the welcoming face of the Mirfield Piano Walk. They ensure guests feel comfortable, informed, and supported from the moment they arrive. This role is ideal for friendly, proactive individuals who enjoy helping others and being part of a vibrant cultural event.
Route Guide (8x)
Route Guides are the friendly faces who help audiences navigate the Mirfield Piano Walk. Positioned at key points along the route, they offer directions, answer questions, and ensure everyone feels welcome and confident as they explore the event.
Photographer/Videographer (3x)
Our Event Photo/Videographers help tell the story of the Mirfield Piano Walk through compelling, high-quality images. From capturing behind-the-scenes preparations to documenting joyful moments during performances and community interactions, this role is ideal for creative individuals with a good eye and a passion for visual storytelling. Not only during the event but also during the months leading up to it.
